Xiaojing (she/her) is a California licensed acupuncturist and herbalist who founded Bitter Melon Acupuncture in 2015. She was born in the Chinese province of Qinghai and moved to the U.S. when she was in elementary school. After spending much of her 20s and early 30s working on health-related public policies within NGOs and government institutions, she made the leap to the provider side of the healthcare field.

She finds joy in helping patients navigate complex health challenges, such as chronic pain, autoimmune diseases, digestive issues, and fertility support. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of East Asian medicine, including nutrition and herbal information passed down from her family. Xiaojing loves that East Asian medicine and integrative healthcare offer the opportunity for continuous learning, and she is committed to offering body positive care to a diverse patient base.

She received her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science, and earned her Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences. She holds a Masters degree in Public Policy from UC Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College. Xiaojing has trained in Kikko Matsumoto’s Japanese style of acupuncture, as well as pediatric sho-ni-shin techniques.
